Just wondered as I have read an article in the news about companies who will actually produce them for you.
My employer just types them out and it would be so easy just to amend them on your own pc which is daft!!

No, they aren't usually checked.
However, when you take out a loan you have to sign to say that all the information you have given is true.
If you default on the loan, and they take you to court to get a county court judgement (CCJ), you're real earnings will have to be disclosed.
If this happens, and its found that you`ve faked your payslips, the lender could have you prosecuted for fraud, which could involve a jail sentence, and it would be marked on your record so you would be very unlikely to get credit again.
In short, its really not a good idea to fake your payslips, no matter how desperate you are for a loan!

There is a reason why they want to check your income and outgoings when you apply for a loan .. it's to ensure you can afford to pay it back ..
If you have to fake your payslips (and bank statements) chances are you can't afford to pay even the interest on the loan ...
WHEN you default it will all unravel and you will end up bankrupt and in jail (and no-one will ever lend you money again = no credit cards, no mortgage, no bank overdraft (in fact, no bank account) .. )
PS even if you don't go to jail, you will loose your job (check 'gross misconduct' in Company Terms & Conditions) .. and where do you think you are going to live once they find out you are a fruadster ? (no landlord is going to want to rent to some-one who is bankrupt and convicted fraudster)

They normally ask for 3 of your most recent payslips no older than 3 months old and if you are paid into a bank account they will ask for bank statements to verify what you are getting paid even though they will tell you it's for proof of address.

When you apply for a loan they consider you on your wage slips information. but then they ask for your permission to ask your employer for your wage details,If they dont match up then your loan is rejected.. I dont think you can dupe them if they are lending money out.......would you

No. I don't think so.. They are only required when you apply for a mortgage.
You may need to supply bank statements to prove your income, so that they know that you can afford re-payments.
