To me, this is an interesting topic. Could discovering the secrets of dark matter eventually lead us to the secret of how to transport ourselves through time?

Might be interesting to first find out what dark matter is, then concentrate on the applications. I'd think it would be more applicable in the advanced travel or communication fields, rather than pure time manipulation.

As for now I do not want to trust information on the internet until this thing is published in some respectable and authentic sources. There are too many speculations, guesses, and rumors on this subject. Therefore, my answers would not be up to the mark.

But I understand your question is a curious one. Therefore, let me put my views on this. Whether it is dark matter or any other visible object in the galaxies contains and are moved by energy and gravitational forces.

It really has nothing to do with our space travels. It can not take us beyond our galaxy any faster than our technologies would do. The only interesting thing that would come out eventually about such things are its' compositions as to gaseous or solids. And why light and radiations crossing their vicinity behaves in certain way. How they were formed and what it would evolve in to in future. Some thing like this would never help us travel through time as you understand.

They have not been able to find Dark Matter, now they have proposed that 'Dark Energy' must exist and it is causing the continued expansion of the universe.

I think we should first identify the properties before practically applying it.
