Craig Monroe's career with the Tigers is now officially over, Neifi Perez's career with them is too. What about Pudge? His contract ends at the end of the year. Will he resign with the Tigers or go elsewhere? I heard he wanted to end his career with Detroit.

2K7: Play somewhere nicer? There are very few cities that are better than Detroit for baseball. I know first hand since I live here and go to Comerica quite a bit.

Eric S.: Is that supposed to be clever? The Tigers may not win it this year, but that is ONLY because they have been injury plagued all year.

Sass M.: I disagree. The Cubs are my second favorite team after the Tigers, but he wouldn't want to go there. It doesn't seem "him".

Chipmaker: I never noticed, but no one calls him I-Rod anymore, and no one ever really did all that much to begin with. He's normally called Pudge now.

The Tigers have a $13M option on Pudge next year. Dombrowski will do the Right thing, and pick up his option.

Then, The Tigers will probably give him a 2 year extension.

He will end his career with The Detroit Tigers.

i might like and need to make certain Pudge play for the rangers back he's a great all-time catcher ! additionally I do only like the combination of Saltalamacchia and Pudge! It specific beats Teagarden and his no HR and in trouble-free terms 6 RBI streak! Pudge is one in each of my in demand catchers of all time too! and that i certainly wish the rangers make a cope with Pudge after his settlement is up with the Astros! Edit: Teagarden now has one million domicile run

Detroit may try and resign him at a reduced salary. It looks like the Tigers are going to tweak the lineup for 2008 - not rebuilding - and the stars in AAA and AA are going to have a chance to compete for some starting jobs, back-up roles.

I dont think Pudge is going to any other teams at seasons end. I think he will retire, and wait to be inducted in the baseball hall of fame with his 12 gold gloves (most by any catcher). If not he will resign with the tigers

I think he will go if the Tigers don't win it all this year. They came so close last year, unfortunately they fell short....but this year is looking pretty good for them so they have a change of winning which will lead to his re-signing.

Holding aloft the championship trophy on the Comerica infield.

Well, maybe not, but it's a nice thought for Pudge.
