I prefer Joy to Joya. More class and more classic.

No. It looks like a name that's misspelled. If you'd see it typed, it looks like a typo.

oh Its so cute! I wouldn't consider changing it!

Cuz you know, not EVERYBODY is gonna like one name. Have you thought about this:

+Kids picking on him/her
+Your kid being called up for an award
+Role call for school
+When (s)he gets a job
+When (s)he grows old.
+When she or he is a teenager
+How the kid thinks of you and your choice.
+What other ppl think of the name.

yes---and I like the meaning 'little gem" or "little jewel"
I also like it spelled Joia, meaning joy.
Another name I like is Joyce. Old fashioned, but different

i dont like it cuz it doesnt sound or look pretty. joy is fine without the a.
