Detective Conan Movies 1-10

I watched 2 movies this week. I will rate them both.

1. 300 Rating 7
The visuals were stunning, but I think it was highly overhyped which affected my enjoyment. The dialogue was pretty cheesey, but that's probably how it was in the graphic novel. I didn't read the novel. I liked Sin City better.

2. Perfume: The Story of a Murderer Rating: 9 1/2
This rating may be affected by the fact that I adore the book(by Patrick Suskind). That given, I thought this book would be the hardest book to film out of the hundreds of books I have read. The director, Tom Tykwer (Run Lola Run), made a world described completely in terms of scent into a visual masterpiece. I didn't think it could be pulled off, but he did it. If you have the patience, read the book first. It will be well worth it.

Disturbia. This movie is awesome. Definitely a 10/10. Everything keeps you on the edge of your seat and It'll make you laugh as well. Shia Lebeouf plays Caleb, a boy who gets himself put on house arrest after lashing out on his teacher. He grows bored and begins to spy on the neighbors where he finds something shocking.

Practical Magic. This movie is about 9 years old but excellent nonetheless. It stars Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock and they play sister witches who always get in some kind of trouble. Especially when they accidentally kill Nicole Kidman's boyfriend. If your into Comedy and Magic (okay and it's a little chick flicky too), rent this 9/10

Take The Lead. The story is about Pierre Dulaine, a dance teacher to a high society world. When he sees a "bad seed" ghetto child break into someone's car, he volunteers to run detention at the school while at the same time, teaching dance. Rated 9/10

These movies are awesome.
