Yes, right off the top of my head: "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" was written as a book based on the movie.

Yes. I owned "Child's Play" and I had a Goonies book with a tape of the reading of said book that came with it. It would even prompt me to turn the page at the right moment.

Almost all of the current "super hero" films are made into books, The films of course are based on the comic books but then go to the screen and then to book form

no because it is easier to make a movie out of a book because everything is made out already. why try using imagery words in a book about a movie that you can see what the words say instead of trying to imagine what it looks like?
