Don't worry! I think everyone is called stupid once or twice in their lives. I know I have...
Oh, just thought you would like to know that I had a friend who went to Yale and was one of the dumbest people I have ever met! She had no common sense what-so-ever!
Don't worry:-)

I was frequently called stupid by teachers when I was a young kid in school, and my late father also said that I was stupid very frequently. But I ended up graduating at the head of my high school class. I am now a college student on a full academic scholarship, and haven't yet made anything less than an "A" in my college studies. I plan to pursue postgraduate degrees.
Yes, people have told me that I'm stupid. Good thing that I refused to believe them.
Please don't worry about the internship. You are intelligent, and you will succeed.

Well, first of all it's rude and wrong to call anyone stupid. You are an intern, you are learning a position, skill and knowledge will come with time. Don't worry about how co-workers label you, they may just be jealous! You're young and getting experience for the job and will probably end up making more money than them anyway! I can tell by the way you worded and spelled your question you are intelligent. Don't let the bastards get you down.

I been called "The Bird Brain of Britain" by some people at school, for some reason I did not like them very much.
At work, because I am just a "cleaner", lots of not just customer, but other staff think I do not know what I am doing.
The people who think they are experts at everything, I find mostly, just make a lot of stuff up, as they go alone.
But IMHO, for someone to call another person stupid, shows they lack of intelligence.

yes I have but only because I didn't know what to do the first few times . until I did know it is common to be called a name.such as stupid. being stupid is not the correct word but it is always used .we are all intelligent in our own way. and some people are just stupid because they can't do anything right from lack of not wanting to or lack of not caring to do it.
ignorant is another word used a lot ...
If you are new to something and don't know what to do then yes you may seem stupid but really you are not. you just haven't learned the skills yet.

Yes, I've been called those and many other things. But I am neither, because I graduated with a 4.0 and I had a lot of people tell me I was intelligent and bright, so I feel that people can often be jealous of you and make you feel like you are not up to your standards because they are just people who like to judge.
I don't think you sound stupid. People have a right to act as they please, and I often have "stupid moments," but doesn't everyone?
People can be intelligent and still act silly once in a while.

I can honestly say that I've never been called stupid or slow. That doesn't mean that I haven't met anyone that has questioned my smarts. Maybe they were too polite to say anything. However, I have the feeling that after I answer this question I will go outside and a random stranger will call me a dumb***. Just a hunch...

each physique interior the worldwide could be referred to as stupid in one way or yet another. i do no longer choose to communicate approximately Yale human beings (no longer an extremely solid college anymore), yet i understand that Harvard pupils ought to sense stupid each from time to time in spite of if no person mentioned so. Harvard is an extremely no longer subject-free college, like UC Berkeley, Princeton, Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford, and a few others. you're superb, no person is solid at each little thing. the days of "the standard guy" are over. learn out of your internship. additionally, if those ******* won't end questioning you're stupid, use them as an threat to emotionally conquer such insinuations, because of fact there will be extra human beings like them -- all of us run into them. If it facilitates, evaluate this adventure to be some sort of merciless initiation or ceremony of passage.

People at Harvard & Yale get called know-it-alls behind their back. Screw them people & what they think. Don't let them ruin your self esteem. Just because you're not good at something DOES NOT mean that you are stupid. Perhaps, they are either arrogant know it alls & get enjoyment out of making other people feel like a dumb a**es or they have some insecurities of their own & making you feel like a tard makes them feel better about themselves.

They might just be doing that so that you try to quit, or maybe they are really the stupid ones. The y could just be saying that to make themselves feel better, or because you are really smart and they're jealous, or perhaps you picked up really quickly on whatever it is they're trying to teach you.
Do you go to Yale? That's where I would love to go to college.

No Dear. You are being played. They know you are bright, and there is a fear that once you DO learn the job, you will be able to do their jobs better than they do. So they enjoy pretending now, when you are vulnerable because you are in a learning situation, that you are unusually slow. Not to worry.
You can do this. learn your job. Do not rely on them for anything. On the job I had they would feed me bad information. They were dumber than posts.
