I beleive it has to do with the depo from my experience I was on the depo for 3 yrs I got off it last September and my cycle has never been the same since I didn't have a actual period until March of this year I spotted durning the months leading up to March and had a irregular period March, April and May. I finally got pregnant after 9 months of trying we were so excited but sadly I miscarried in July at 4 weeks. If you have been on the depo for a long time I would be prepared to wait along time. My daughter said it atleast 6 months to start your actual period and that its normal because your body is starting to produce hormones etc. It has torn me up to wait so long and I hate waiting since the miscarriage I still haven't gotten my period and am very frustrated it is driving me crazy. So as for the spotting its normal and I don't think there is anyway you could be pregnant as your body has to get back to normal. If you do get pregnant take it easy and do everything your supposed to. I wish you so much luck and I just wanted to share my story about the depo shot. Good luck

Implantation spotting is light pink or brown blood, or mucus streaked with pink or brown. It is uncommon, only occurs in about a third of all pregnant women. It lasts only a few hours and is usually only seen on the toilet paper. It doesn't require the use of a sanitary product.
Most likely what you experienced was an anovulatory bleed. It just means you didn't ovulate. It can take up to 18 months for the depo shot to stop affecting your cycles.

I think it is just fromt he shot. From what I heard it can mess you up for 3 months after you stop.

I think your body is adjusting. But I am not a doctor. It wouldn't hurt to call the doctor to discuss this.

Hmm I would say that you could have an "Irregular Period."
My case is a bit similar to yours.
