I am on my 11th month ttc. I went to the doctor's last week to have blood tests and an internal ultrasound done to see what the problem might be if any. The results came back that I am not ovulating. I have an appointment to meet with a fertility specialist to talk about it and discuss my options, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has gone through or is going through this and what is being done. Also, I'm just wondering if anybody knows of people who have ended up pregnant after taking a pill to force ovulation and how long it takes. Thank you in advance for any advice and/or input!

Anovulation is pretty common. Are you continuing to have regular periods?
You should start charting your Basal Body Temps to take with you to the Fertility Specialist. BBT charting can tell you a lot about what is going on in your body. A good book about it is Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler and a good website is www.fertilityfriend.com
The most common drug to induce ovulation is called Clomid. It is pretty safe, it's been around for a long long time. It does have some side effects like headache, hot flashes, mood swings, but those can be lessened if you take it right before bed. It is not an expensive drug either. About 80% of women who used Clomid will ovulate. And of those who do ovulate about half will get pregnant within 6 cycles. So you have fairly good odds.

I went throught the same thing. My doctor started me on Clomid which helps your body to ovulate and I was on it for two months and then got pregnant. I wish you the best of luck and hope your doctor can help you to get pregnant.
