Name a reason why you would go on a "quest" or "journey."

Would you be looking for something? If so, what?

Examples from books are, The Holy Grail, The Wizard of Oz, Fountain of Youth.

I need this for a fantasy book so make it magical!

For a fantasy book, I would go on a quest for a great wizard. He has not been around for ages and most have forgotten about him. To many he is a myth. The main character has found clues hidden away in some spell book of his location, so the quest begins. The main character has to go through trials and tribulations as the quest goes on, finding creatures and other wizards, witches and warlocks, as the journey goes on. Fighting ogres, demons, hydras and other evil creatures. He finally gets to the land where the wizard might be. It is guarded by magic and one black dragon. If this is what you were asking for, then here you go. Have fun.

No fantasy here....

I would go back to the Antietam Battlefield in Sharpsburg, Maryland and (with permission) dig for relics of the battle.

I've been very interested in the battle after visiting and reading about it and would like to find my own piece of history from the "Bloodiest Day" in military history.

g-day!
