Why is it some people look better in photographs than in real life, and vica versa ?
I'm not being big headed but i had a lady tell me that I should be a male model when I was in the petrol station the other day, I just laughed & said yeah right ! Yet when I see photos of myself I personally cant see it at all.
Is it just some people look better in the flesh, and others look better in photos ? Whats your opinion ? Just curious to know.

Some people are just more photogenic than others. If the lady just saw you in a gas station, you cant really go by that if you are actually photogenic. Some of the most amazingly gorgeous girls that want to model dont get any work because even though they are gorgeous in person, look terrible and stiff in a photograph. To model you have to be able to communicate and click w/ the camera and not just have "the look". You just have to try it out and see if you are genuinely photogenic or not. Good luck! :0)

Exactly, that's where we get the term photogenic!
Some people look great in "still" photos and awful in movies.
A good photographer can do a lot to make us look better.

Yeah I know what you mean. Some people just come out good looking in pictures and some people don't, I don't know why that is.
Its better to look good in real life than in photos, everyone see's you in real life a few people see you in photos.

Its weird isnt it? Have u ever noticed some models look really nice in photos but when u actually see them theres nothing to amazingly georgeus about them, they normally have prominate features such as square jaw or quite a plain skinny face. For example kate moss, she looks attractive in photos, but actually shes quite a angular face, and her eyes are wide apart. Its normally the glamour model types that are actually attractive, as they pull all the right faces!!! Xxx

Some people can look fantastic on film and awful in real life! Its just the way it is!
Its all about being natural. A lot of people dont look good when a pose is forced onto them.

well, everyone says i'm very photogenic, but i can't see it sometimes. i look at some of my pictures and i don't think i look good, but everyone else does. some people look better in flesh than in a photo and vice versa.

Well normally when you take a picture you're ready to look good and you'll make a good face. Others dont think of that and they dont. You probably arent thinking about it when ure photos are taken.

I think that most people look worse in photographs then in person. But, most people dont really like the way they look in pictures, anyway. While other people might think you look good. people are bad judges of themselves.

I know what u mean. I look REALLY awful in photos and my sister looks great. Can't be in the genes anyway!
