Hi there, I was diagnosed with endometriosis last month. I was devastated. I have a 3 year old daughter but always wanted a big family and the thought of being infertile was the worst news I could ever receive. We started trying for baby no 2 two weeks ago. I did a test today and I am pregnant! The line was very faint but according to some ladies on here it is quite common for one line to be faint. I am over the moon. I have also talked to many women on line with endo and many have had children. Tell your friend not to worry. All is not lost. x

well my mom was told she had it and now has four kids and one on the way. the site below explains it more and here is a small paragraph

If I have been diagnosed with endometriosis, does that mean I cannot get pregnant? Endometriosis can cause infertility in many women, but with proactive treatment, the possibility of pregnancy is increased. Discuss treatment options with your doctor to decide what would be the best course to take to increase your chances of pregnancy.

it depends on how long shes had it how bad it is etc. ive got pelvic inflammatory disease, both quite similar although mine is in my tubes and ovaries rather than womb, so its worse. ive heard about a lot of women to get pregnant with endo and have healthy babies, ive even heard from a doctor that being pregnant can help get rid of the endo or at least calm it down. unfortuntely its not the same for me, but i wish all the best to your friend. if its meant to be it will.

It might take a longer time but look at Emma Bunton(
baby spice) She has it and gave birth to a boy last week!! If you have any concern go to the doctors

depends. endo can affect ur chances of gettin preg. but if treated sooner can gt better.if she has a lot of crampin/pain in lower abdominal she should talk to her doc about it. she will prob.need a laparoscopy, and a lot of woman w.endo gets pregg faster af.having laparoscopy done for their endo(bcuz docs will remove all those lil bloody skers from ur ulteros and some scar tissue if its formed around ur tubes or w.e they find)
BUT keep in mind.endo will not stop her of gettin pregg. it may b harder, but she can. a friend of mine suffered from endo many many yrs and had 2 beautiful kids later on in her life. and docs. belive that gettin pregg can also help w.the endo. so if ur friend is married or plannin to conceive.good luck for her this may b the best choice/ if not tell her to talk to her gyne about it so he will explain better to her and answer w.e question that may b buggin her.

it will affect her chances, however, there are medications and procedures out there to help her, so there's lots of hope, she needs to talk to an obgyn or an RE (fertility specialist) you can also ask an RE online for free to get their advice for her, try www.FertilityTies.com
good luck!

my friend had it and managed 2 pregnancys
1 was a lovely daughter but sadly she lost the other (not related to the endemetriosis)
it took her longer to concieve than most people and she only ever conceived twice but it is possible

(i say my friend 'had' it as she has just had a hysterectomy due to other problems)
