My computer is running to slow now, a lot of spam and adware is killing me. I just wanna wipe it clean like it was when I first bought it. Is there anyway to do this when it's starting up?

Backup the files that you want to keep (if you do) and use the XP (assuming) CD and format the drive, or if you have the restore Cd's, use those as they should set your computer back to like it was when you first bought it.

You can also use these to see if these help before you do a reinstall

You could go use the system restore functionality included within Pavillion laptops, if you're using Windows Media Center. I think there's a start menu entry for that. If there is none, it is probably safest to run the system restore on boot (e.g., press F10 just before the boot screen starts). It will take you to your system restore.

Use the cd/dvd that came with your computer. Once you have this done, stop going to sites that give you viruses and spyware, ie P2P sites like Lime Wire.

u can use a register editor to repair ur files
delete all virus files and internet files
