I know someone who is getting married and her Mother in law is well odd to say the least. What's your best Mother in law story. Do tell.

I have one of the classic all time monster in laws from hell. She hasbeen a pain in my side for about 30 yrs now and lives with us for the past 7 yrs due to 2 severe strokes. She has even scared 2 of her 7 kids away from having anything to do with her. When we first got married in Denver in 1980 she use to call from Cleveland everyday several times to check on the welfare of her daughter as she never trusted me and in between her calls my wife had to callher.Wouldnt have cared except have you ever seen 700-800 dollar phone bills each way.She had to be present when my kids were born cause she thought I would kill them. Now that we live in centralFlorida sightings of the Green Swamp monster has declined because a newmonster moved in the neighborhood. There are alot worse ones on here than mine but it all comes down to one thing;a sure fire way to permamently get rid of mils. Could become an instant trillionaire

i have really nice mother-in-law. She coming to help with baby in few weeks.
Will as for my husband mother-in-law or my own mother. she little nuts... But she help out when we need her. She good mother in her own way.
My own mother help plan my wedding with in short time.
I guess it region wise too.. We both different culture.
I love my mother-in-law and my own mother in different way...
At less they are there when you need them or make you understand motherhood.

I had a wonderful MIL too. Darling woman.
What your friend needs to do is establish boundaries any way she can to keep her MIL at a respectable distance and maintain control. Using answering machines to screen calls really helps.
If the husband has not cut the apron strings (or umbilical cord) with his mother, then the marriage will not last. It takes a united front to maintain boundaries with a messed-up MIL.

My list could go on and on. First my ex mother in law was loaded with money. My husband and I went on vacation for two weeks. I came home to my surprise my furniture was gone. Abd replaced with her choice of furniture, she re arranged my kitchen, I could go on and on. But you get the picture. Also my husband would call me at work and tell me he was taking me out to dinner. It didn't take me long to find out this all ways included his mom. She talked about me to her friends. She did not help us financially So I worked two jobs. My story's could go on and one.

good lord do i have the mother in law from hell lol.she use to tell my kids i didnt love them called me a whore u name it she did it .but it backfired on her cause my husband doesnt let her come over or see the kids .its thought gl to ur friend .
