Wasn't there some sci-fi story where aliens keep humans close to the shore all over the world and harvest them for food?

My guess is that it will be something like that.

Or, the trees and water sources on the planet will not support 12 billion humans, and the infestation will cause a die-back of 80% or extinction at about 10 billion.

Think we'll get there? Hopefully we'll slow down the procreation. It'll be packed, but there will still be some open spaces. We'll start running out of fresh water.
