You probably won't feel your baby kick until sometime between 16 and 22 weeks, even though he started moving at 7 or 8 weeks and you may have already witnessed his acrobatics if you've had an ultrasound.

Veteran moms tend to notice those first subtle kicks — also known as "quickening" — earlier than first-time moms. (A woman who's been pregnant before can more easily distinguish her baby's kick from other belly rumblings, such as gas.)

Your build may also have something to do with when you'll be able to tell a left jab from a hunger pang. Thinner women tend to feel movement earlier and more often than women who carry more weight.

About 16-20 weeks with a first pregnancy. Some women as early as 14 weeks.

There are other factors in feeling her move though. If you have an anterior placenta (or one that is on the front wall of your cervix) it may even be 20-22 weeks before you feel her. This is my fourth pregnancy, I felt all the others move by 17 weeks at the latest and I was 22 weeks along before I could feel the baby move with the anterior placenta. Also a larger mom may feel baby later than a really petite mommy.

Its hard to say exactly when you will feel your baby moving. There is so much happening and so many emotions that you feel its hard to explain. You normally feel like you have butterflies in your tummy, like light fluttering movements. First you are not sure if it is your baby or just wind!! With my first baby i would say I was 15/18 weeks gone. Then with my second and third I would say about 13 weeks upwards because I knew what it felt like. At about 20weeks I felt definite kicks then you get harder and harder but the further on you are I found I was kicked less often as the baby was running out of stretching room.

I felt my baby move at 18-19 weeks and this is my third. It can depend on your own size too. If you are very thin you are more likely too feel baby move earlier than this.

it depends. If you're thin, usually around 16-18 weeks. If this is your second or more baby then around 18 weeks. If your a bit on the heavier side possibly not for 24-26 weeks. try lying on your left side for a while then lie on your back. thats easier to tell

Everyone is different but generally i think it is between 18-20 weeks for your first baby and a couple of weeks earlier for and subsequent children.

it depends on the individual but normally 16-20 wks for 1st baby, 2nd or more are normally earlier. its not uncommon to not feel til 22wks though, especially if the mother is overweight. slim mums often feel baby quite early (around 16/17wks)
