4 sand to 1 cement but make sure you use a proper feb mix (not fairy liquid as other people say as this will weaken the wall). Mix around a glass of feb with a bucket of water and then add to the mix. This will make it easier to use and will last longer before gong off.
Don't forget to use wall ties to tie into existing walls to give strength, otherwise the wall will be free standing and could be knocked down if a heavy objects falls on it.
Have fun

4 parts sand , 1 part cement , and a cap full of feb mix. DO NOT USE WASHING UP LIQUID NO MATTER HOW LITTLE AS IT WILL KILL THE CEMENT . let it mix and add clean water slowly till its a consistancy you want .

yes 3.5 to 1 4 to 1interms of sand to cement ..also if u r not a full time brickie use some mortar plasticiser...and dont forget that the mix will "come wet"....so watch how much water you add. leave it to mix in the mixer for 5-7 mins and start it dryish...you want a clotted cream texture...have fun

3 parts sand to 1 part sand, add a dash of Fairy liquid to act as plasticiser (stops it going hard too quick so you can take a bit of time to get it right).
Good Luck.
