Ok, so I noticed while I was showering the other day that I had this weird bump on my skin, or actually under my skin. It's not really so much "down there" (for lack of any other way to say it) but its like right where my bikini line is. It kind of freaked me out, I just noticed it yesterday. Im just not sure what it is. I was thinking maybe like an in-grown hair. which is sick I know, but Im kind of hoping that is all it is. It doesnt hurt. and its about the size if a dime, or less. It seemed a little red at first... Does anyone have any idea. I dont want to go to the doctor. I have no money, and Im hoping I can just treat it myself...if its not serious. anyway...has anyone ever had anything like this??

First of all, this is not gross...it's just a part of life...gross things happen all the time and as you age, things get worse...ha ha. Well I wouldn't worry. It might be a cyst or an ingrown hair like you said. Just wait awhile and it might go away on it's own. Don't wait to long though as I don't mean to worry you but ingrown hairs can become serious if untreated. You might need to visit the doctor as the earlier you treat it the better. Don't be embarrassed at all. Doctors see people all day long and have seen everything. Hope it goes away but if it starts getting bigger...just go to the doctor. Again, it's not gross. See ya..it's just a part of life. :o)

If I were you I would worry about it being an inguinal hernia...
Can you press on the bump and it will like go inside? and when u let go it will go outside again? Thats a hernia! it should be operated on before ur intestine gets knotted in the hole (the bump is a piece of intestine that comes out of the abdominal wall...
Anyways, it might be a long shot, but i´d check if i were you...

yeah I had one on my inner thigh and i went to the doctor couse it hurt and she said its just a ingrown hair. so when you take a shower wash that area really good. I use a face scrubb because its gental but still gets ride of dead skin so the hair can grow out on its own.

Ive had a lump like this i went to see my doctor and they said it was just a fatty lump that developed he said there is nothing you can do to get rid of it if you leave it alone it will slowly break down and disappear xx hope this has been use full xx

ITs ingrown hair dont worry i have it all the time coz i shave and sometimes when i change washing powder

it could be a hair, if it is, nothing to worry about... also, if your monthly period is nearing, your lymph nodes could also just be inflamed. after your peroid, if the bump subsides, dont worry about it. it happens to some people once in a while.

I would guess you are right--ingrown hair. Not gross, everyone gets them! Leave it alone and you'll be fine. :)
