stress in ones life can change a womans hormones and that is a very good possibility for you right now. also after a year they can change to . keep an eye if they continue to be weird call 1-800-ask a nurse they can give good advice. i wouldnt worry to much right now though. sorry for your loss.

Here are some things that may alter your period. these are expecially common to teens who have just gotten it. Hope this helps:

1.Sudden change in amount of physical activity done (exercise)
2. Depression
3. Sudden changes of weather
4. Bad diet
5. medication (hormone medicine, steroids, birth control pills)

The death in the family could have been a cause but you should just get back to your normal flow after a month or two.

Also remember, your period isnt really regular yet since you've only had it for a year. So even if it is acting unusual, dont worry about it. if it remains like that for more than 6 months, see a doctor

Sometimes stress may play a factor in your flow-or if you even the timing of your cycle.

Diet and other things can factor in as well..

Every person is different and ever period is different. Take note of this cycle and if you are concerned call your doctor.

just remember your period is hormone related and so are your feelings, you body is stressed and tense, you may find your period will be longer this month or it might get heavy again in a few days time. nothing to be worried about

periods take 2 years (at least) to become regular so it could be because you are upset or because you are not regular yet.
