Not so bad. Get the Haynes and don't skip any steps. And always change both sides. You don't want better brakes on one side than the other.

Hi Johnny. It's a piece of cake my friend. Only thing is, you don't change a single pad on one side of the vehicle, you change them in pairs and do both sides at the same time.
Get hold of Haynes manual for the car, It gives you an idiot proof walk through complete with photos. What you save on doing the job yourself will more than cover the cost of the book, you will have the satisfaction of a job well done & have the benefit of having the book as a source of reference for any future issues you may have with the car. Go for it & the best of British!

My advise to you is to take a shop you know and have them change both sides brake pads and inspect the rotors (re-surface if they are thick enough or install new ones if necessary). Ask the mechanic if you can watch...next time you will be able to do it yourself safely. Brakes seam an easy job, but things can go wrong a lot easier...
Good luck!

to ask this question mate is ok, but to answer it telling you what to do is another thing as you seem to have little mechanical knowledge, i would suggest you ask someone to show you how and help them do it as i did with my dad and brother, as there things you might forget like bleeding the brakes , putting the resivoir cap back on, all of which can be fatel as you will have no brakes.

honestly if you have never don't this before id have it done its not that expensive and when working with braking systems id feel better having someone do it, i own a shop and i don't recommend you trying this without at least getting a good repair manual on that car, good luck with it.
