As far as playing when all is said and done, someone will pick him up lets be real a team like the Lions would take him because on the field he gives you another threat. Off the field if any one decides to offer him an endorsement deal it will be a while. Celebs and athletes have done worse and still bounced back

In my opinion he will likely miss 2 seasons. That will have a marked affect on his career. Don't forget that will be 2 years away from playing @ speeds he is used to not to mention no reading films. This is not like an injury, he will not be assopciated with the NFL @ all. However he is a great athlete but a pretty lousy QB. Has done very little throwing the ball. Should come back as a WR.

Amy, there have already been 'ill effects' on Michael Vick's career in regard to his dogfighting.
Nike dropped his endorsement deal, Reebok took his jerseys out of their stores, 3 major sports card companies took his card out of their products for this year, Dick sporting goods, (large sporting goods store in atl) took his jerseys and all memorabelia out of their stores. The Falcons were ready to suspend him for 4 games (which is the MOST they can do to him short of releasing him) but the NFL commissioner stepped in and asked the Falcons to let him handle it, because the commissioner's office has the authority to ban vick for life. (This way, the falcons would have the ability to recover some of the money they have paid him). The commissioner promptly told Vick not to report to training camp and he is conducting an investigation in order to determine what punishment by the NFL that Michael Vick can look forward to. There should be a decision concerning whether or not Michael Vick can play handed down by the commissioner before the regular season begins, unless Vick changes his plea to guilty beforehand. If he changes his plea to guilty, the NFL will not have to make a decision until his sentence is served.

He isn't at Training Camp. He could be banned for life for being connected to gambling. The NFL is letting it go through the courts before really punishing him so they can't be accused of helping prejudice the jury against him. Also they are doing it this way so that all the facts can be done and they won't have to worry about the NFLPA filing any sort of grievence(and they probably wouldn't want to but as the Player's Union they would technically have to support him if there was any case).

Only if you consider dead being an ill effect. His NFL career is over. Lets say he takes the plea and does a year. He'd probably start his sentence December 07 or January 08. That eliminates him from 07-08 and 08-09. Roger Goddell is going to suspend him for a year, so goodbye 09-10. If he's allowed to come back then, who's going to want to have a 32 year old running quarterback who lacks accuracy.

Only if you consider the fact that he'll never play in the NFL again as a career affect. Maybe NFL Sunday Ticket will start showing Canadian Football League games after Vick gets out of prison.

Last I heard he was still barred from camp. I doubt that has changed.
If he takes a plea deal, he will go to jail for about a year, and then it is up to the NFL if they allow him back. They may not, based on the guilty plea.
If he doesn't take the plea deal, he may be in jail for up to 20 years, although likely closer to 3-5 years. That in itself will be the end of his football days.

He will plead guilty here soon. He will be fined and sent to jail just as it should be.
He then needs to be banned from the NFL. I believe the NFL finally has a commissioner who will enforce the rules.
It's time these thug idiots are gotten rid of.
Just because you can play a sport does not mean you are above the law. Normal working people have to follow they law so should these so called superstars.
Long story short HE IS DONE!!!!

No. i does no longer play it or purchase it. i might have confidence that the interest is making gentle of a terrible subject. It became undesirable adequate that he dedicated the crime. do you realize what number animal fans have been laid low with this tragic turn of events? lots of them are satisfied to nicely known he's receiving his only punishment. If there have been a interest, it may well be disrespectful to the area because of fact is a serious count.
