I would say yes. I once showed up about 15 minutes late for a showtime, and once I bought my ticket & snacks and got in there. I was just in time to catch the movie. And I was the ONLY person in there! My own private showing. Would they have finally shut it off if I weren't there? Maybe, but it was already running on schedule with no one ther anyway!

I did a brief tour as a projectionist in a Navy movie theater, and if we posted an 8:00pm movie in the plan of the day, then we showed an 8:00pm movie, even if it was to an empty theater! Crazy, eh? I suppose it was in case someone came late?

Yes they do. I used to work at a movie theater. Some movie theaters are over until 1 in the morning, idk why. but around that time, they are still running movies and no one is insite the theather.

To the best of my knowledge, it has never happened in our small Village. There is always someone who wanders in mid way while the film is running.
