that question about cleaning computer screens made me think of this.

I thought I heard somewhere that it does something to the finish on the lenses. I clean mine with Windex and don't see the harm.

Sure it is. I asked an optician the same question about 20 years ago and he said use toiletpaper and windex. It won't hurt them. Since then, I've found out that it's even better to use 50% rubbing alcohol and a flannel cloth to clean glasses and computer screens. I even use that to clean my lcd display on my laptop. Another good thing to clean glasses and computer screens is microfiber cloth. I have a few of those too.

I clean my glasses with Windex & wipe them with a soft cloth. Paper towel & kleenex can scratch. I also clean my glasses with little drop of Dawn dish soap on each lens, rub it in, then rinse in warm water. Dawn does a great job on glasses & many other things.

Well....i wouldn't if i were you...it's a WINDOW cleaner, and it has all these toxic things in it, and your glasses are right next to your eyes...i'd just use a damp paper towel.
