Right now I just started my sophmore year in high school. I want to experience acting to see if i enjoy it. On Monday and Tuesday there are auditions for the school musical. It is the Little Mermaid, I am male so what role should I try out for? I am a little scared and I don't really feel like doing it but... Please help me!

There is a saying that there are no small parts. Each part in a play is important. Go for the gusto and try out for the largest part you can get! It is a start!! Be the clam!!! He has a lot of speaking parts!!! Buy the Disney movie! Be prepared!!!

Well, if you want to experience acting, this is your chance. Don't worry about which role, just tryout for whatever they ask you to tryout for. If they ask your preference, say "anything".
Just go and do it. Have a song ready to sing. 16 bars is plenty. Break a leg, Doc
