Listen to the other guys, I have rebuilt large truck diffs, which are a lot more forgiving and it is a pain in the ***. You would almost be better off comparing prices for having an axle shop rebuild your diff, and finding a lower mileage use part at a salvage yard and just swapping the whole axle.

By paying someone to do it or buying a rebuild. The clearances and loading you have to set in a diff are not something to try on your own. I've rebuilt engines, but I'd still have a pro do the rear differential.
