Hi,
I have some old folks visiting my home and they cant climb stairs. Looking for suggestions on setting up a temporary shower in garage. Mainly I am thinking about how to drain the water. Thanks!
-Drew.

Use a RV shower, drain the water to your gardens or grass. Setup hoses from the bottom of your hot water tank for hot water, and a cold water faucet for the cold water. The reason I say an RV Shower is they are made to accommodate many different fittings. When they leave, you can always sell it.

Set it up so that they have to stand in a large plastic tub. Put a drain in the side of the tub, with a garden hose, to carry the water away. When they shower, the excess water lands in the tub, and drains through the hose. Any remaining water can be dumped out separately.

You may want to check first with your local municipality's code enforcement of permitting department. It can be done somewhat like what they are doing down south with the FEMA trailers, but that would entail running a@ 4" PVC pipe and connecting it with the sewerage. If allowed, that may be the easiest, cheapest and quickest. Otherwise, have you considered turning your garage into a permanent "mother-in-law" suite. A bit more costly but may add to the overall value of your property.
