I miss the fact that she was such a confident and secure woman.
She was intelligent, kind, attractive, and hard-working.
I hate that I have to now find a woman like that again when we all know that all these qualities in one woman is very rare. I should have kept her.

I'd say you have to go back and tell her that. Oh, and that you're sorry for dumping her, I'm guessing you did. And if she doesn't want you back, don't wallow, but work to be the kind of person YOU want. And you don't have to find a woman exactly like her, because everyone's different. And who knows, maybe you'll find somebody you love, and won't let her go.
The truth is, most people don't figure that out until AFTER they leave the other, and it makes me wonder if you're just lonely. I mean, if she was really that great, don't you think you would've realized it before you split?

Anonymous, it sounds to this old guy like you are now kicking yourself in the rear. But sometimes we make life choices and don't realize until afterwards that they may not have been the correct ones. As far as finding another woman with these qualities the reality is that there are many out there that can match your ex. The hard part is finding one to match up to your expectations. Best of luck.

this isnt a question but if you miss her that much why dont you try to get her back. Sometimes we look for the things that are missing in a person rather than seeing what they are and what they have got. Also it could be a case of you idolising her, sometimes when we are lonely we look back on past relationships and forget all the good times. Look at why you split up and if there is any chance of a reconciliation.

Hindsight is always 20-20 my friend. Keep looking, you can't change the past, and regrets should be left there. At the risk of sounding like a commercial, some of the dating sites actually work. My nephew had phenomenal success at e harmony dot com. Try it or something like it, what have you got to lose?

Why didn't you tell her this while y'all were together? She might not be an ex now.
Good for you for realizing those are great qualities though. Too many guys go for the physical and don't realize when they have something great.
You'll find another one, they're not all that rare.

Well, there is a reason you got a divorce. Most times divorcees remember the good things after they don't have to put up with them anymore. Go back and remember everything. True it may have been your fault for the divorce. But I don't miss a thing about my ex. Not a thing!
