I had a friend tell me this, and I'm supposedly not naturally strong. Supposedly the bigger the whitish ring, the more calcium deposits or something, meaning more bone density. This somehow translates to more power (like in a punch).

No it is not indicative of your strength or bone density. That portion of your nail is called the lunula an d although it does not measure strength it does serve as an indicator of disease when it is abnormal.

I hope this helps.

A physically weak person can have excellent bone density so the white moon would have nothing to do with "punch power."

However, while not very accurate, the markings and colorations of one's fingernails can indicate a lot about the state of the body within.

For example, a doctor seeing yellow finger nails, may decide to have your liver tested because such coloration may mean an indication of liver dis-ease.

It can mean other things as well, but sometimes these indicators (including the eyes) give doctors early clues.

it fairly is somewhat extreme and expensive yet I cured myself of my nail biting habit by using getting acrylic nails (I wide-unfold the pink french look) for just about a 365 days. there is one caveat...detect a great salon...cleanliness and sanitation are a could! i replaced into fortunate adequate to locate an staggering salon which replaced into referred by using a coworker and not as quickly as had plenty as a chipped or broken nail nor any sort of an infection/fungus you on occasion hear approximately. on the two events I had to pass someplace else with the aid of time constraints, I suffered broken nails interior of a week. the draw back replaced into whilst i desperate I had had them long adequate (some 365 days) and had them bumped off (in addition they mandatory to be bumped off a few cases by using the dimensions) it replaced right into somewhat painful and my organic nails have been badly broken, brittle and skinny. you're questioning why i'm merchandising this at this factor...however the tip effect replaced into, after dwelling in the process the transforming into out area of my broken organic nails, the effect replaced into extra suited nails than I had ever had earlier and no urge by any skill to bite them. My organic nails at the instant are longer than they have ever been in my entire existence, with the aid of extra advantageous potential and absence of prefer to bite them. it fairly is an excellent challenge not without that's detrimental aspects... yet for me, the tip effect replaced into surely well worth it! :-)
