The word "Comprar" is the infinitive of the verb, so whether you're saying "to buy" or just "buy" by itself, you could use that word. When you use it in a sentence, you would change it to whatever form you needed. If you give me an example of a couple of sentences, I could show you what I mean and how it might change, depending on what you're trying to say.
