I have a 94 Saturn SC1, and it just started making a weird sound like the muffler was going......only thing is, the sound isn't coming from the back of the car, it's sounds like it's coming from the right front area and once it's warmed up and driven a bit, the sound isn't as loud. I checked to see if there were any holes under the car around the muffler and I couldn't find any, nor did I notice anything loose, but I'm not a mechanic so I could've missed something. Any ideas what it might be?

Lol, yeah it's a screwy little crapper.....I do have to constantly keep the oil checked and filled because it leaks....only God knows where, my stepdad had no clue, and I check the water quite frequently....other than that, I haven't thought about head gasket......thanks!

is it a rattling or a buzzing or sputtering? it may be a leaking exhaust manifold gasket.

it could very well be comming from one of the connections in the line to muffler, etc. try checking while running that will lcate it.. the reason it doesnt as loud after a while could be because once it warms up the heat closes up some...

You could have a leak from the exhaust manifold gasket.
Good luck!
