This civil war has been going on for 1,400 years. As soon as the U.S. troops leave, it will escalate all over again. But, have no fear: the U.S. troops won't be leaving anytime soon.
We're building the largest U.S. embassy in the world on a 104-acre site in downtown Baghdad overlooking the modest headquarters of the 'new' puppet Iraqi government installed by the Bush administration.
Hallbiurton is building fourteen - yes - 14!) new permanent U.S. military bases in Iraq.
We will not leave Iraq until we've sucked every drop of OIL from its sands. For those gullible people who believe we're trying to bring democracy to Iraq or peace to the Middle East, think about this:
Ever since World War II, the giant U.S. military-industrial complex (which Eisenhower warned us about) realized how profitable war could be. So all the politicians were bought up, pricey lobbyists were hired, and special interest groups were formed to promote and encourage more 'war'. Thus, we got involved in the Korean Conflict; the Cuban Missile Crisis; the Cold War; Vietnam and Desert Storm, all so that companies like McDonnell-Douglass, Lockheed-Martin and Sikorsky could make billions of dollars to help boost their sagging peacetime profits. Now, two 'newcomers' have bellied up to the government war trough: the Carlyle Group and Halliburton, both of whom have direct ties to the Bush-Cheney White House! From Day One, this 'war' was all about OIL and WAR PROFITEERING, so a handful of wealthy elitists, industrialists and power brokers could become wealthier and more powerful than they already are. -RKO- 08/18/07

it will reduce fighting and has, but once they leave the test is will the violence stay down? The government over there has to take charge for that to happen and that is not occurring.

\GOP we aren't fighting, we are policing, thats why we won't win the way we are going.
