The skills of Legilimency or Occlumency? Again for non-Harry Potter fans :
Legilimency - the ability to extract the thoughts, memories, emotions of others.
Occlumency - the ability to block others from reading your
thoughts, memories, emotions.

Well...if it were just me who had the powers then I would want Legilimency because no one else could read my mind so I wouldn't have to protect myself.
If others had the power of Legilimency though, I would want Occlumency because I would feel more in control of myself.
In the end, I must note that I love Severus Snape.
