For months now I have had an extra layer of skin growing on the side of my hand. Well today I had had enoguhb and decided to bite it off leaving a small hole. I chewed on the skin for a while not trying to eat it, but then thought heh why not. And so I ate it. It actually went down really easy and tasted pretty good. Does that make me a cannibal??

NO, I am a nurse and I can tell you that it is probably not a great idea to "bite" off any part of your skin the main reason being you don't know if there has been any blood flow established to that area of your body. You could have caused a real problem and set up infection.Also the human mouth is the nastiest thing in the world. You have a lot of bacteria in your mouth that can cause serious infection. Now that being said if you want to eat yourself go ahead, just don't start looking at others as a food source. Then it's cannibalism. Enjoy your munchings and you may want to consider a psychiatrist if your urges continue!!!!

No it must be ok because you swallow bits in your mouth. Women who eat their own placenta after they give birth are not but I think if you eat someone Else's placenta then you may be.
