Dear Mr. Gowtham, I do not know Why and what made you to question like this. The name represents one person's identity and it is his own . Parents choose a particular name by just breaking their heads and consulting so many people. Some people select the name as per the birth star of the child and to start with one alphabet . A persons name mentioned many time in life his life time is becoming a MANTRA and he should ask people to mention his name fully without any reduction in the spelling and reducing the value of the name.No one has got the right to change his name as he likes it whenever he wants. The mere introduction to some body they introduce anybody only with the name. How can you ask a simple question what is there in the name.So many things are there in the name. I would like to stop this letter at last by saying only one information. Please do not change the name what your parents are calling and do not try to change the name for the sake of Numerology etc. All the best Yours V.RaghavendarRao

First names (or given names) say so much about ourselves, our parents' aspirations for us, our family background, our cultural milieu. Your name is usually a reflection of the various influences around your Mum and Dad at the time of your birth. Were Mum and Dad more influenced by the church or the hippie movement, by ethnic origin or pop culture? or did they just opt for the most popular names of the time.
Personally I feel a name means nothing. It is just a label to distinguish you from your siblings and peers. It's personality that counts....... As Shakespeare said...... "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet."

There is so much in a name.
Many people judge you by your name
Many people tease you by your name
It just depends on your name.
Your name can describe who you are.
But also, there is nothing much in a name.
A name is just something to label a person by but still it is very important.

He was a dramatist, for him satire was his livelihood, so what else do you expect to hear from him.

Just look around yourself - people with different names you will recognise its worth - good as well as bad.
Would no names help reduce name calling ?

A name can make or break a person due to society's perception of the name itself.
