I look forward to the day when African Americans (not all) look past protecting their own for the sake of skin color and actually do what is right. It's an absolute utter waste of time trying to debate the Vick case with you when all you see is color. Just like Affirmative Action is giving an unfair advantage to some and limiting the opportunities of others. Let me guess? OJ is innocent too right?

that came off a little abrasive, and the affirmative action is another topic. didn't mean to offend anyone

Until we get over this political correctness issue, we will always be besieged by the race card.

I look forward to the day that African Americans are treated like everyone else by the legal system. There's been too much inconsistency with sentences for race not to come into the equation. If you have an issue with the reactions of African Americans, how about addressing the legal system in your State for starters... to ensure fair and just and consistant sentences for all races.
Have a good day.

We were doing just fine seeing past race until his local law enforcement, at first refusing to do anything about the complaints, said people were picking on him because he was rich and black.

Then his lawyer joined the bandwagon and said, "You're just doing this because he's famous and black."

There you have it. His representatives played the race card first, and everyone else jumped on the bandwagon.

As long as there are Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and others of their ilk, we will never be free of this. Those two were quick to judge the North Carolina guys in the rape allegations, but now that they've been proved innocent, no apologies have been forthcoming.

Did you notice what I said, they were PROVED innocent. The law says you're to be presumed innocent until PROVED guilty, but the media play into the hands of these manipulators, so the trial is held in the press and on broadcast before it ever gets in a courtroom.

Oops. Sorry. Wrong soapbox.

Can I ask a question ...why is it that this is a race card issue ?
I believe what he did is wrong and should be punishable but at the same time the same people that are angry have no respect themselves for the human race !!!
ANd treat each other worse ??!!!

It should be judge the man not the race.....!!!

i don't think of this could nicely be a race situation. i think of a white guy could be met with the comparable reaction. Or, if this have been Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods, 2 very cherished athletes, i think of extra people could be prepared to forgive. the actual question of race in that's, will this impression a black guy who must be a quarterback in the NFL? i don't think of so. yet whilst this factor had happened to the 1st black quarterback, decrease back on each occasion that replaced into, i think of it could have been damaging for the 2d. yet I do believe whilst blacks and whites committ crimes, the punishments are in many cases harsher for blacks. In Vick's case, what he replaced into in touch in replaced into undesirable and he could pass to penal complex for years. i don't think of this occasion is a race situation. actually, the actual race situation is in the racist posts via people everywhere in the internet on a daily basis.
