People always tell me that I need to do something more productive with my life than being on the internet all day. Well, I do have a life outside of the internet. I have a college degree & am furthering my education, going back to school.
Also, I see how people on here (Y!A) tell others that they have no life other than using the internet all day.

Naturally people are joking half the time, because if someone tells you over the internet that you have no life, then they must not as well, cuz they're on the internet too...
But some people sit at the computer for the majority of their day, and yeah, their outside life can start to become non existent

I wouldn't say you have no life if you're always on the internet, but I find for myself, it does help to get away from the internet, and computers in general sometimes.

I find that when you talk with people in a live setting, you're using different socializing skills that you would use while seated at a computer. (Facial expression, for instance)

Because the image of the internet dweeb is that of a smelly basement dweller, who still lives with his (or her) parents. As untrue as this may be, it's still the image they have, and that is how they will judge you.

Yes you do need to socialize sometimes. As I was saying "Man/Woman cannot live in cyberspace alone"... he/she needs to go out meet other people.
