Shortly after George H.W. Bush left office, he and many of his cabinet members (like James Baker) joined a company called the Carlyle Group, headquartered in Washington, DC, just down the street from the White House.
Many of the prominent investors in this new firm were Saudi Arabian families with whom the Bush family had done business for years. One family that invested $2.5 million in the Carlyle Group was a family by the name of binLaden.
On 9-11-01, immediately after the 'terrorist attacks' that struck New York and Washington, these prominent Saudi Arabian businesspeople (who were attending an investors' meeting of the Carlyle Group) were quietly flown out of the country when all other aircraft were grounded.
Since the 'war' on Iraq, the Carlyle Group and Halliburton have both become major government contractors and have made billions of dollars in profits from this 'war'. Both companies have direct ties to the Bush-Cheney White House. Why the media isn't investigating this outrageous conflict of interest can only be attributed to one reason: the media is also part of the conspiracy to keep this information from the American taxpayers, who would be outraged if they realized the truth: the 'war' in Iraq never was about bringing democracy to Iraq; it never was about defending our nation against 'terrorists'; it never was even about establishing peace in the Middle East. It was all pre-planned to make a handful of wealthy elitists, industrialists and power brokers even more wealthy and powerful than they already are! This unconstitutional, insane, immoral, unjustifiable 'war' against another sovereign nation - that in no way threatened, provoked or attacked the United States - is all about OIL and WAR PROFITEERING for friends of the Bush dynasty and the Cheney regime. -RKO- 08/18/07
