How does everyone think about people not bothering to vote on their answers? ..... It make me wonder why I bothered to find them the answer they were looking for

no you are not alone i think that too its even more annoying when it ends up in a tiebreak ,because you never know if the questioner actually even saw it

Do you answer to get points or because you actually might have something to offer the person who asked the question?

For me, it's not really a question of points, I'm not playing Survivor out here. I usually only answer questions that I feel I might have a helpful answer to. I also read through the other answers and if I see that someone already has posted an answer similar to what I would post, I see no point in repeating it.

Occationally, if I feel the question is really stupid, I might leave an answer to point it out.

Guess wich this is ;-)

If people are just in it for the points, they'll just cough up some non-sence as a reply to a question someone might really need the answer to. And who wants that?

Don't you vote by clicking on the thumbs up icons? I do that all the time and I see other people doing it all the time too. Other than that, I thought the person who asked the question chose the best answer. Am I completely off my rocker? I may not have a clue what any of you are talking about. Tis possible. :-)

Can be frustrating, especially now that people who vote for best answers on their questions get 3 points back so they only actually lose 2 points or they think they are going to get all the points back by getting a "no best answer".

I'm not fussed if someone doesn't vote on my answer - if by that you mean giving a thumbs up or thumbs down. And I've not ever really gotten to the point where I've needed to cast a vote. I don't often go to the Unresolved Section.

Some are just not worth voting for. I've posed a few questions that just haven't gotten a single decent answer.

i always vote. that's how you get jumps in points. i think there are so many other people on here with different agendas, that people just don't bother anymore. most of the questions on here aren't worth rating, because they aren't worth commenting on...ie: TROLLS

It's possible that they are trying to leave it as late as possible to give best answer and the deadline for giving best answer expired. I have been caught out with this.
