I believe schools need to train girls how to be instead of worrying about teaching them calculus or old english literature. The latter is stuff that no woman should need in life.

Brains are sexy. And if you can't teach a woman how to act within the first couple months of dating, maybe you don't deserve one.

A class to be cute and sweet? That would be strange. I understand taking a cooking class in school or a parenting class for women, and those are acceptable but not required, but a class to modify behavior and personality seem more like brainwashing to me. I know that old English literature is useless, and calculus doesn't have much use, but a woman still needs to know how to read, write, and do math, some very important skills she'll use for the rest of her life. So she still needs to be educated.

Cute is for animals and small children, not me. I am sweet. Just ask anyone who knows me. Docile, I am not. I learned from my parents, my faith and my heritage not to be docile but passionate and free. I love fiercely, will pursue what is right with a vengance, proudly stand up for what I believe in. I cannot and will not be tamed.

And I'm extremely intelligent. I am quick witted and "book smart". I pick up on new things quickly. Calculus was easy for me. I read Shakespeare in my free time.

Lucky is the man who finds me.

Have you heard the phrase "Common sense is not so common". That is because it is a shorthand way of saying popular knowledge, but it is still knowledge. I assume what you mean by book knowledge is what we use to explain why common sense solutions make sense. Common sense will only take you as far as the context it is learnt in. For example, if you live in america you will know that you should drive on the right but that common sense would not servfe you very well in england, where we drive on the left. So the usefulness of knowledge will always depend on the context.

In your world hon, I'm sure it is very important for females to be cute, sweet, docile, and stupid.

In your world men have multiple wives, scores of kids, the right to infringe on their partner with violence, and wives who make them pillows and cut up their food for them.

In the real world the rest of us have to go out and earn a wage that supports our families. So education is paramount.

Gaining an education is one of the values I have raised my children with. Even if I can't afford to give it to them.

My college age daughter applies for scholarships, grants and financing and pays the rest herself. She's not really cute, she's more along the lines of very pretty, she can be very sweet, and well, docile...well, let's not go there.

If you ask me, she's perfect.

She wakes up happy. She thinks she is equal to any challenge Life throws her way. She values and respects her own life and the lives of others. And one day, dear, she will be an incredible partner for one lucky man.

I think, had I sent her to a school that taught her to be cute, sweet, docile, and stupid she would have soundly flunked. All the better for her.

And, No, you cannot have her number....(for your own safety). She eats men like you for breakfast....

i think more than just being cute and sweet, they should learn to be homemakers, i don't know many girls who know how to make a homemade meal anymore before the age of 12. i was 10 when i became the homemaker in my home, now all my nieces talk about is boys and clothes, but they don't have a clue how to mop a house

Its good to be intelligent in certain areas! Schools shouldn't train girls on how to act. Then they would all start being the same way and you should want a girl that's herself and smart! <3
