People are rude in response to your request for conversation because of the way the majority of people are now. When I get IM's from random people I am nice but I quickly announce that I am a happily married women. It is just the way it is, sadly being friendly isn't something people just do with out an ulterior motive now days.

Amen brother, people are rude unless a disaster happens. Then we all pull together for about two days and then forget again. Human nature now seems to be, me first, and I got mine. There are a few truly nice people out there so just keep looking. Good luck with finding one.

Sometimes people are not interested in what you are talking about but being rude is not the answer the polite way would be to let you no that they are not interested in what your talking about.

If your IM'ing strangers perhaps they are wary to speak with others they don't know. If you are IM'ing friends perhaps they are doing something more important at the present time. Regardless the proper thing for either person would be an explanation of why they are not interested in IM'ing you at the present.

That's not rude, it's their right. I never accept Im's from strangers. How do you even know if the erson you're contacting is who they say they are? Leave it alone and grow up it's not the end of the world. Would you cry too if someone bumped you from their top friends list on Myspace?

Because Burger King stuck his Big Mac into Wendy's Hot n Juicy, and she didn't like it, so they went to El Pollo Loco instead of KFC.

Also if you start lowering your damn prices, some people wouldn't be so rude.

Personally, I find IMs intrusive so I just disable them.

I had IM for a while when I had AOL but I got tired of sudden popup boxes saying "How old r u?"

Because we let them. I think rude people should get the rude stomped right out of them.

I guess they just don't really care. I wouldn't bother. Get you some new people to talk to. Ones that care. Just don't like IM allllll the time. That would get really annoying.
