Every gift u receive is thoughtful... The most recent that moved my feelings really was when the kids (teenagers that I work w/ sometimes) gave me one of those silicone stripes (bracelets) w/ a message : I already had one, but they noticed that the color of the message was fading & found me another - u can't buy these things, so the effort they made 2 find the same one for me is priceless!!
Once they surprised me w/ a song - they heard I liked one old song /I might have mentioned it once, but not to them, cos they don't even know of that band, but to someone else that was there!/ - So, they downloaded it from I-net & played it for me...

Ah, I appreciate all the presents - no matter how small or inexpencive they R or if the presents R not material things at all - cos the person who gives them 2 me thought of me & wishes me well...

A beautifully made book journal to record the books I read and a blurb about each one. It also lists all the winners and their books of all the major book awards over the years and on every page there is a quote from a good book or the first line of a well-known book. I am a readaholic so this was a very thoughtful gift for me and I use it.

well i did get a guitar on my b-day two years ago. I don't really know if that's a thoughtful gift but it was the first b-day gift and only b-day gift i ever got. but one thing that pisses my off is that my dad didn't get me the tutor for my guitar like he said he was going to. but I'll try to find a way to learn the guitar.

I received a Mother's Day gift from my husband's niece. She lived with us some while she was growing up ( her dad was in prison and then died when she was 13) and she never forgets to give me a Mother's Day gift or my husband a Father's Day gift.

How thoughtful can you get!

An elderly lady and I shared a birth month. It was special because I 'saw' the month in and she "saw' the month out! (Oct 1 and Oct 31). When she passed, her family gave me her birthday porcelain angel holding a pumpkin. That was over 35 years ago and I still have that angel. I was a child and she was a very special, caring lady so I felt it was extra special for them to remember me.

I had just moved out to my own apartment for the first time and my boyfriend bought me a gift basket with lovely bathroom towels, a plant and wind chimes (he knows that I love them). It was completely unexpected.
