I am looking to find a free affidavit, does anyone know where I could find one? If not a free one, does anyone know of any relatively cheap legal sites that offer legal documents? All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You can write your own. Just type the statement. Put something to the affect that you swear or affirm that what is contained therein is the truth to the best of your knowledge. Don't sign it -- take it to a Notary Public. Sign it with the Notary.
Voila! Affidavit.

How in the world are you going to get an affidavit online? An affidavit is a personal statement of facts by the swearer/declarant. You can do your own. The format depends a little on the state you are in and the purpose of the affidavit. The basic format is:

I, __, of the City of ______, in the state/province of _________, ____(insert occupation) MAKE OATH AND SAY THAT:

1. I am the (respondent/complainant/plaintiff/etc) in these proceedings and as such have personal knowledge of the facts herein deposed to by me except where same is stated to be based on information or belief and in which case I verily believe same to be true.

2. (In point form set out what you want to say).

Take this typed out to a lawyer or notary who for a small fee will witness you signature and hence "take your affidavit".

If this is a court case, beware of making arguments or conjecture and avoid accusations or third party information, all of which can be struck from your affidavit.

Follow the suggestion of the first answerer, but paste this language at the beginning:

AFFIDAVIT
[city], [month] [day], [year]

With regard to the [kind of event] said to have occurred in or near [town] during [month] [year] involving [people's names] and others, I, [your full and legal name], am informed and believe, and on such information and belief state the following:

[Here write the facts you wish to submit. Number the paragraphs. At the end, paste the following:]

I declare that the foregoing statement is true to the best of my present knowledge.

[End the writing there, and add one blank piece of paper. The notary will have a large sticker or rubber stamp to make the place where you sign.]

Make a minimum of three copies: one for your personal records, one for the notary's files, and one for the person to whom you are submitting the affidavit.
