Children can experience erections from an early age,however it will be later, at the onset of puberty that will realise what stimulates them,and judging by your avatar you,ve discovered this.

Around age 2, actually. Clinically that's when people start developing a concept of self, as a seperate person from their parents. But it varies a lot, everyone is different, but usually at a young age, under 5.
