does anyone have any success stories on medication to induce ovulation to get pregnant?
I had a m/c 2/14/06 and have been TTC since. Had to take provera to jump start my period this month. Was refered to a fertility specialist at the end of the month due to me not ovulating. Would like to know the types of medications any of you have tried and how soon you became pregnant.
Thanks for any info!

The first medication usually given is called Clomid. You will start at 50mgs for 5 days early in your cycle, usually days 3-7 or 5-9. The symptoms are pretty mild, headache, hot flashes, mood swings, and it helps if you take it before bed to ease some of the symptoms. It's been around for a long time and is pretty harmless. The biggest risk you take is multiple births--usually just twins. I've used Clomid many times in the past and did conceive once, but lost it, using Clomid. Your dose can be increased if you don't respond well.

Sorry for ur loss.

Provera is just to clean the utreus lining (or when you become PG to form the lining), it doesnt help in ovulating

IF you have PCOS then these are various options ur doc may put thru. every options has a procedure which ur RE will explain.

Just Metformin
or only w/ clomid
or metformin & clomid
or metformin & injectables.

what ever is the case, PCOS women are in 42% rate for M/c. so as soon as you get a BFP, go to hospital beg your fertility docs for metformin & progestrone.

Best regards in your journey. Hope & wish you will conceive soon
