i have ntl/virgin broadband and want to move my pc to the other side of the room?

ntl charge £25 callout charge. can i put an extension lead on myself? if so what type do i need to buy and is it straight forward????

Yes, it's DIY. Get a CAT 5 Ethernet cable, 6 feet longer than you need, and replace the existing (short) cable.

Most computer stores sell them.
