They say that over the course of your lifetime, it is very likely that at sometime a spider will crawl into your mouth at night and you'll eat the sucker...

it's not like as soon as the lights go out we start munching spider salad nonstop until dawn.

Spiders aren't that dumb...

But if that's true, than think about how many other bugs we probably eat?

Yes, you eat about 8 a year. So just think how many you eat in your life! The spiders crawl in, you swallow. Most people do not deliberately eat spiders!

We accidentally ingest spiders and other insects as we sleep but it depends on how much a person sleeps with the mouth open.
A person who snores a lot, probably consumes the most because the mouth is usually open then-to breathe better.
