Instead of buying a gas card worth a certain amount of money, does anyone offer a gas card worth a certain amount of gas (gallons)?

actually I have heard of gasoline co-ops where you can purchase as much gas as you want for the going rate( like lobster, it changes daily) this was a couple of years ago on CBS magazine 20/20 that I saw this. They were targeting one old guy who bought 100,000 gallons at .75 cents per gallon way back when and as prices spiked over 2.25 a gallon he was smiling all the way to the bank.
So if you have 10 grand or so lying around... this might be the way to go. You could be one of those guys who escapes 6 bucks a gallon fuel pricing.

Not likely. Since the prices have been changing so quickly, most companies could not afford to do it that way. Think how you would feel if you bought a card with 20 gallons on it at (say) $3.00 per gallon and the next week the price was $2.50 a gallon. The only people I know of that can buy fuel this way are those that deal in Futures stock and purchase thousands of gallons at one time for future use at a set price.

WOULD BE A STUPID THING TO OFFER SINCE GAS PRICES ARE UP AND DOWN EVERYDAY.

JUST WHEN YOU GET THIS CARD GAS IS $2.65 A GALLON THE NEXT DAY THE GAS GOES TO $2.35 A GALLON.

YOU SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
