So long as we are a democracy we will be electing presidents and other public officials. I wouldn't want it any other way. Frankly dictatorships are not something I have a desire to live under.

They come from American homes and are elected by American people, it's probably a good idea to look at society and our values and try to fix them first, rather than blaming everything on politicians. If they suck, then what does that say about us. BTW coming from someone in the military, it's very clear that that civilians have slightest clue as to what actually goes on in hte government.

The right to vote for our leaders is one of our greatest freedoms.
Thanks David R. I am a good lawyer, I wouldn't say great, since I've only been out of law school 2 years.

If we stopped electing officials, we would no longer be a Republic. Use your frustration to criticize the media, and the lobbying groups, who create the scum bags that we call politicians.

If we did that we wouldn't be America anymore...voting in our officials may very well be the biggest voice we have...it reaches world wide.
