sex before ovulation?

we wan to have a baby girl and i have read that you must have sex 2 to 3 days before ovulation. what is your input on this. can you give me advise.

The method you are referring to is the Shettles Method--
"Shettles says in order to increase the chances of having a girl, you should have sex everyday from the end of your period up to 2 1/2 to 3 days before ovulation. After this point, do not have unprotected sex until several days past ovulation.

Intercourse further away from ovulation favors the larger slower moving X (girl) sperm. I've heard this too - that the female sperm live longer inside so you should have sex two or three days prior to ovulation and then no sex on the actual days of ovulation. Who knows if this is just some old wives' tale or if it actually works. I'm pregnant with a girl right now and we had sex every day leading up to ovulation and on the actual day.

boy are we in the same boat! there is plenty you can do to try! Yes what you say is good. thats one of them. The girl sperm swim slower but last longer than boys. So the futhur they have to go the better so the boy sperm will die off fast and they have a chance. Also, they are saying now the women vigaina plays a role. When a women has an orgasm it releases stuff that helps boy sperm. So you want to make your vigina as plentful for girl sperm as possible. So, what you have to do is douch with a vinguar and water douch 15 mins before sex, then make sure the man is no top, no orgasm for you, when letting the sperm in don't let the man get to deep in your vigina. Agentjip is mistaken.

The sperm can live for sometime, and female sperm live longer than male sperm. So if you have sex just before ovulation, supposedly the male sperm will die out, and the female sperm will be left to inseminate the ovum.

Once ovulation has occurred, the ovum is able to be fertilized for some time as well. As male sperm swim faster, you are more likely to have a boy if you have sex in this time frame.

Some men have more female sperm or more male sperm, and none of this is possible to dictate. I think God must have some say as well. :)

yes, because female sperm live longer, and male sperm swim faster, so it's best to have sex 2-3 days before ovulation and not the day before and the day of ovulation, that's how i'm going to try it when I go for baby #3. good luck.

I have also heard that this is a good way to sway your odds. I know many gals that have had had 2 and even 3 day cut offs from sex before ovualtion and have had girls! I myself had intercourse on ovulation day and had a girl...afterall, your chances are ALWAYS 50/50 right? So who knows.....

specific, that's genuine. Boy sperm are speedier, yet woman sperm can stay longer. So in case you have intercourse on your ovulation day, that's probably the boy sperm will attain the egg first. in case you have intercourse a pair days earlier, the female sperm can stay and anticipate the egg mutually as lots of the female sperm will die off. Now that's not one hundred% so do not place self belief in this.

I think that you should leave the sex of your baby up to God, but Honestly I don't think all those myths work. But good luck just remembering God is the one that gives us life and he chooses what we have would you rather have a healthy boy or a girl with defects??

No. You can only have babies when you sex during ovulation. (Between 11 to 18 days) in the menstruation cycle. It is impossible to have babies when you have sex before and after ovulation.
