Our lease requires a 60 day notice to move out without any fees. My wife found a job and is required to be there in 2 weeks. We obviously couldnt have given 60 days notice. Is there anyway we can get out of all the fees and charges for breaking the lease?

Talk to the landlord then take him to district court if not pleased...you should leave the place clean for the next tenant would be in your favor.

Hi,
You should contact the Landlord and explain to him/her what the situation is, and ask if you can break the lease. Try to come to a mutual agreement, but if you can't you must remember that you signed a legal document (contract) for a given amount of time. Some Landlords are very understanding and will work through this type of thing in good spirit, but you must contact them in order to resolve this issue.

Not unless your lease has a clause covering that situation and allowing you a shorter notice.

If you talk to your landlord, they might let you out of the lease at the end of September instead of October.
